Phil Luetkehans uses his land use and zoning experience to represent numerous clients related to wind energy issues. He was successful in obtaining the denial of a 118-wind turbine project that was proposed by Invenergy in Livingston County, Illinois and a proposed 68-wind turbine project in DeWitt County. He litigated and was granted summary judgment in the Livingston County case on behalf of his clients. Phil later presented evidence to the Livingston County Zoning Board of Appeals that allowed the County to increase its setbacks to 1,640 feet from neighboring property lines and 3,250 feet from non-participating residences.
